Your mindset on your infertility affects your fertility
Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.” -Charles Swindoll I truly believe this quote is accurate for all aspects of our lives, especially fertility. The fertility journey can be very challenging (an understatement I know) and can make us feel that we don’t have control over anything. I challenge my readers today to take a different approach - if “Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it” then apply this statement to your fertility. Yes, you have … [Read more...] about Your mindset on your infertility affects your fertility
Is your period ideal to support your fertility?
I hear it all the time in consults - “My period is pretty normal”. Then I proceed to tell my patient or client what I consider the ideal menstrual cycle to be, and they say “wow, mine is nothing like that. What your Basal Body Temperatures tell us about your fertility
I frequently ask my clients to take and record their basal body temperatures as it tells us so much about your fertility. However I am frequently presented with comments such as: I already know when I’m ovulating, because I’m using an ovulation predictor kit. I tried doing that, but it’s really hard for me to remember to take my temperatures so I stopped. I don’t want to take my temperature every day. I find people are more likely to take their basal body temperatures if they know … [Read more...] about What your Basal Body Temperatures tell us about your fertility
Are You Doing It Wrong?
Time and again I have been in a consult with a new patient or couple, trying to get to the bottom of why they haven’t been able to successfully conceive. And then I hear this: “Yup, I’m ovulating about cycle day 14, I know because I’m using an Ovulation Predictor Kit. And as soon as we get the positive we make sure to have sex that night.” This always saddens me, because if a couple is waiting until they get a positive on their OPK, then they are missing half, or maybe even 2/3rds of their … [Read more...] about Are You Doing It Wrong?
